A two day workshop where weaving and 3D printing are combined, during DEAF2012.
In this workshop, we will pair two craft techniques that are unlikely to meet in everyday life: 3D printing and weaving. Participants will receive an assignment: mix the two to create samples of new materials that could be used for e-textiles and/or wearable technology. Professionals from the Ultimaker community and the Swedish School of Textiles will lead the workshop. After an intense day and a half, the workshop output will be presented at the network event Meet the Scene.
This is a two-day workshop, with Mika Satomi, Joris van Tubergen, and Mili John Tharakan.
Following this workshop, a debate took place on May 18.
